The Battcon International Stationary Battery Conference is a three day, noncommercial, technical event for storage battery users from a broad range of industries. It's the premier conference for end-users, technologists, and manufacturers.

Battcon also features a two day trade show with over 70 storage power related vendors.

Users, manufacturers of batteries and battery test equipment, installers, researchers, and standards and safety experts attend the conference to learn about and discuss the latest industry developments.

Conference, Trade Show, Hotel and Meals

The conference runs Monday to Wednesday, May 5 to 7, 2008. Extra activities are on Sunday. The registration fee gives you three days of presentations, the two evening trade show, three nights hotel, two dinner receptions, breakfast and lunch, plus the Conference Proceedings book with CD.

Education Plus

For 2008, Battcon offers three preconference battery seminars that focus on the basics, advanced techniques, or a particular topic. These Sunday seminars let you brush up on old skills, discover new directions the battery industry is taking, and earn CEU credits.

Presentations and Sessions

The goal of Battcon is to meet the specific needs and interests of end-users. Presentations by users and manufacturers address everyday battery applications, technical advances, and industry concerns.

Papers, panels, and open forums address manufacturing, maintenance, and testing issues and are of particular interest to power, telecom, and UPS industry personnel.

First Time Attendees Welcome Session

New for 2008, Battcon is featuring a first time attendees get-together. This Sunday evening gathering will offer refreshments and be staffed by Battcon Technical Committee and Organizing Committee members. Here, you'll be able to ask questions about Battcon and offer suggestions to help make the conference even better. We encourage all first timers to drop by. The location will be posted at the conference.
