Battcon is looking for papers that address everyday battery applications, technical advances, and 1any battery related topic that appeals to a majority of attendees. Each presentation is allotted 20 minutes. A Q&A session follows each group of papers.

Deliverables and Due Dates
Abstract - 100 word abstract is due February 28th.
Biography - Due February 28th.
Final Paper and Copyright Release Form - Due March 1st
Presentation Slides – Due March 31st.

Presenters should plan for enough content to fill their 20 minute allotted time.  Typically three papers are presented at each session followed by Q&A where presenters will take questions from the audience.

Materials should be submitted on or before due dates and emailed to jack.mack@vertivco.com.

Receipt of your abstract and biography will be acknowledged. Your abstract is then reviewed by the Battcon Technical Committee, which determines if the topic is suitable for the conference. You will be notified if your abstract has been accepted. At times, the committee may request that you change the focus of the abstract or include other data and resubmit.

Upon abstract acceptance, begin work on your paper. Please note that acceptance of your abstract does not guarantee acceptance of your paper. The final paper must meet the standards of the conference: your paper should be noncommercial, unique, your own work, not previously published, and of interest to all levels.

Before starting the paper, review and follow the guidelines in the Author Style Guide. A template for your paper, also on the Forms page, may be used at your option. Your paper must be formatted as shown in the Author Style Guide.

When submitting your paper, also submit a copyright release form, required for publication. The committee may accept your paper as is or request that you modify it. If your paper does not conform to the style guide, a rewrite may be requested.

After paper acceptance, complete your PowerPoint slide presentation. The Author Style Guide addresses slide content. A slide template on the Forms page may be used at your option. Submit your session slides no later than March 31st. Your slides will be reviewed for content, commercialism, and number. As with your abstract and paper, the Technical Committee may request changes.

Previous presenters and first timers are encouraged to submit abstracts for consideration. Feel free to contact us for more on presenting at this year’s Battcon conference. We look forward to hearing from you.
